Since 2014, the RAISESHERPAS Endowment Fund
has created philanthropic tools and programs
to support the growth of startups
that are in the post startup development phase.

The RAISESHERPAS Endowment Fund
offers startups to:

FIND FINANCING

The RAISESHERPAS Endowment Fund
finances the growth of startups

that are in the POST STARTUP DEVELOPMENT PHASE.

Through three different loans ranging from € 100,000 to € 500,000.

€ 100,000 LOANS

These €100,000 loans at zero percent interest are
repayable over 6 years, with the option of a 2 year deferral.
They are provided to the company, a legal entity.

THE RAISE LOAN

on the equity of the RAISESHERPAS Endowment Fund

SELECTION CRITERIA:

To be eligible for the RAISE Loan, the startup must meet the following criteria:

  1. Have its headquarters in France
  2. Be in existence for a minimum of 18 months
  3. Be majority founding members or holders of 50% of the voting rights
  4. Sales of more than €250,000 in the last fiscal year and an objective of more than €500,000 in the current fiscal year.

THE REVITALIZATION LOAN

that the RAISESHERPAS Endowment Fund manages for third parties.

THE RAISESHERPAS ENDOWMENT FUND COMMITS ITSELF TO THE REVITALIZATION OF REGIONS BY OFFERING ADDITIONAL FINANCING TOOLS IN CONNECTION WITH PUBLIC AUTHORITIES AND LARGE GROUPS. THESE PROJECTS ARE GEOGRAPHICALLY LIMITED AND HAVE TIME LIMITS.

This financing allows us to support the creation and maintenance of jobs in predetermined regions using 0 percent loans to startups located in these regions that are in a growth phase.

The allocation criteria are similar to RAISE loans, with the possibility of additional geographic criteria and the presentation of a hiring plan.

LOANS FROM € 200,000 TO € 500,000

Participative loans ranging from € 200,000 to € 500,000, at 5 percent interest, without any personal guarantee ;

THE EXPANSION LOAN

Launched by RAISE, through a subsidiary named RAISE Expansion of the Endowment Fund RAISESHERPAS and Crédit Agricole Ile-de-France,

The Expansion Loan supports the acceleration of the development of Parisian startups by setting up a PARTICIPATIVE fund. The amount allocated by the regional bank to this fund is 10 million euros, which will be deployed over 3 years. The selected startups will thus be able to benefit from a loan ranging from € 200,000 to € 500,000 for a period of 7 years with the possibility of early repayment without penalty and one year of partial deferral.

To respond quickly to the financing needs of young entrepreneurs, RAISE and Crédit Agricole d’Île-de-France are committed to accelerating the financing process by giving an answer in a few weeks. This speed and the flexibility of the execution process make it one of its main assets for entrepreneurs.

Over the course of these programs, experts from large companies and consultancies
donate their time pro bono and contribute their skills and expertise
to help the entrepreneurs grow.

The RAISESHERPAS Endowment Fund offers these entrepreneurs personalized long term coaching programs (from 6 to 18 months),

The objective of these programs is to bring technical and strategic competencies to the entrepreneurs and to find concrete solutions to their growth problems. This also allows the collaborators from the large companies to adapt to the world of startups, which represent a source of innovation and disruption, by transferring their knowledge.

Since 2015, and in partnership with Bain & Company, the RAISESHERPAS Endowment Fund has organized an annual gathering of the entire ecosystem

– leading corporate figures, successful entrepreneurs and political and public personalities – to promote the startup/large company relationship.

The growth and dynamism of the young companies in France is considerable: over the last five years, an average of 330,000 companies were created per year.

Unfortunately, half of them disappear during the first five years of life.

However, the alliance of a « David », a small, vulnerable entity, with a « Goliath », one with an international stature, often proves to be indispensable for young entrepreneurs to avoid the inherent pitfalls that often prove fatal in the passage from a startup to a sustainable business.

The baseline study of
startup/large company relationships

In 2016, we decided to review the current status of the relationships of large companies and startups

in order to create a precise map of the ecosystem and to formulate recommendations for improvement.

This study is updated each year:

The first practical guide
to a successful collaboration

In 2017, we published the first practical guide for the collaboration between young companies and large companies

to identify and gather in a guide the stumbling blocks, brakes, levers and best practices of a creative collaboration of shared values

For the 2017 edition, RAISESHERPAS and Bain & Company also launched the David with Goliath Award, which rewards the greatest alliance between a large company and a startup.

The first edition of this prize, granted on November 15, 2017, to the Maison de la Mutualité, was a memorable occasion that more than 600 people attended.

Therefore, in three years, the David with Goliath initiative has become the not to miss event of the startups/large company ecosystem.
